インドネシアで寄宿学校が突然倒壊、91人の生徒などが行方不明
インドネシアで9月30日、イスラム系の寄宿学校の建物が倒壊し、数多くの生徒などが行方不明となっている。
91人が瓦礫に閉じ込められ、行方不明
倒壊したのは、首都・ジャカルタの東約780kmに位置する、東ジャワ州の町、Sidoarjoにある学校「Al Khoziny school」とされている。
この学校では当時、4階部分で建設工事が行われており、夕方遅くには下層階にあるモスクで生徒たちが礼拝を行っていたという。
その時、突然建物が倒壊し、多くの生徒などが瓦礫の下に埋まったそうだ。現在も捜索活動が行われ、99人の児童と職員の生存が確認されたが、30日の夜遅くまでに3人の遺体が収容された。
また依然として、91人が瓦礫の下に閉じ込められ、行方不明になっている。

Searchers raced Tuesday to rescue at least 38 people still believed trapped after the collapse of an Islamic school building in Indonesia that has already left three dead, authorities said.
重機を使用しないと判断
生徒の家族らは、生存者リストが書かれたホワイトボードの周りに集まり、子供たちの名前を探していたという。
救助隊は瓦礫を移動させるため、掘削機とクレーンを投入。しかしその後、残りの建物が倒壊する恐れがあるため、重機を使用しないとの判断が下された。
また負傷者のうち、26人が地元の病院で治療を受けているそうだ。
国家災害対策庁の広報担当者であるアブドゥル・ムハリ氏は、建物の基礎が4階部分の工事の重量に耐えられなかった可能性があるとの見方を示している。
