been running duel swords but man it is a strruggle in pvp since most of time is badon and range and pve its fine for me at least

Been playing alot of axes tree and yeah its pretty stable on running pve and pvp. But currently get pretty bored and interested in your regular bow but with q1 w4 and e just hitting bows lol

Been leveling everything but I wanted to try bloodmoon or wargloves I just cant seem to kill bosses in pve fast

running battleaxe or dual swords but also trying frost now, i love the movement speed bonus on dual swords for solo which is super useful to dodge stuff

I play nature and holy, I also like 1h spear and spirithunter. I have a question, how do you play dual swords? When I played it I found it very clanky and difficult to move because the E ability is very long to jump and because it lacks movement if you don’t have iron will. It’s strange because has a lot of movement ability but it feels slow.

Have been playing battleaxe since you recommended it to me in the comments. I am really liking how easy it is. I have been farming T7Q6 in 5.1 gear this morning and though it was tough, it was manageable. Do you have a recommendation for capes with your beginner armor build and battleaxe? I try to avoid pvp until I am a bit more experienced.

My current weapon is fire staff. Consistent in any scenario and my pyromancer already hit level 100 just within the 1st day based on my play time with my char which is I’m basically a new player. I’ve been really enjoying the game even tho I wanted to try this for a very long time but this time all I can it’s really worth it and fun for a late gamer and free-to-play player. From now on I’ll be watching your guides.😊

I’m running a battle axe build right now, I was doing spear but didn’t really like it, but What’s the top 3 ZVZ weapons(please let me win a code)

Always Duals because of Damage-Mobility mix. Can immobilize as well if needed. Can provide defence if needed. With Guardian Helmet (or more expensive-specter hood) and Mercenary Jacket provides nice HP sustain. But what disturbs me is the fact that E skill is becoming less important as a damaging skill on higher ip. On high ip, regular hits provide a larger part of damage and E is mostly to increase the attack speed of regular hits instead of dealing damage itself as it does on lower ip. And I don’t like it.

I’m using daybreaker atm , trying to max my spear tree🤟🏻

A very good selection of starter weapons that are perfect for the Mercenary Jacket and but I will add some of the weapons that can also fit into this category

(I’ll try and put the most/2nd most viable weapon of every weapon tree but this is more subjective so keep that in mind)

Carving – exellent weapon can be used in nearly every content in the game, but you will need to spend a bit more compared to its compitition

Great Axe – exellent in both pve and pvp, easy to play with, but just as easy to play against

1h Mace – is a good starting point if you want to play tank, but if you are planning on spec up your Maces its better to just do it with a group, if you arw determined to be solo then you need Stalker Jacket or Spectre Jacket

Great/Pole Hammer – Hammers in general are really strong pvp weapons but pve is a lot to be desired, but with these 2 you need Soldier Armor or Assassin Jacket plus Carleon or Thet cape to have a more manegable pve, you can do without them but its slow

Ursine Maulers – Underrated imo, but is exellent in pve and pvp, works well with Mercenary jacket and decently cheap

Heavy Crossbow – needs you have a bit of knowledge of kiting and using Caltrops(W3), can work well with Jackets like Mercenary or Assassin but is more effective with Cloth Robes like Cleric or Mage,

Longbow – use Longbow if you plan on joining a guild as a ranged dps, but if you plan to just go solo go with Regular Bow

Demon Fang – I know its a meme answer but out of every dagger Demon Fang can fast clear camps because of AoE, can pvp(but you need to know how the weapon work), decently cheap and lastly cause I’m biased on the weapon

Heron – 1h spear is so good that the Spear tree has 2 of them(1h and Daybreak), Heron is much cheaper than Daybreak plus its also quite flexible being able played in solo, Trio, and group pvp, in solo pvp its not the best but its good enough

Regular Quarterstaff – The Honorable Mention weapon I feel, Quarterstaves tree is a more pvp focused tree but with Q2 and W1 it can pve with decent speed, It can be similar to Dual sword at times

Druidic staff – Nature staff is a strong pve weapon but is also surprisingly deadly in pvp, I was gonna put Great Nature instead but you can shut off your brain with Druidic so I just put it instead

Shapeshifter – No, too expensive but if you really want to then Blood Moon staff, strongest self sustain but weak to kite

Great Fire – I am biased here because I am currently using it but its fast pve with E basically having 7.5sec cd, decent Aoe and W1 and W2 being its best spells for pvp, and best you dont really need to switch spells as W1 and E can basically do pve and pvp, Q spell is you choice but I dont recommend Q1

1h Holy – very strong option freeing that chest piece slot with either Cleric or Mage Robe, pve is meh, pvp its kinda good you can fight but its harder to chase ppl with 1h holy

Witchwork – its a higher dmg 1h arcane but you lose out on purge and silent,

Great Frost – Q spell is a problem but E is usually enough to fast clear mobs, can work well with Mercenary Jacket but I’d suggest playing Mage robe

Great Curse – much cheaper than 1h curse and with W4 it can put out decent dmg and proc Mercenary Jacket, Q3 is a non factor since Great Curse E is similar to Q3

And also the weapon I used when I was a newbie was DEMON FANG it looked cool back then and its super cheap(price is rising atm) and it carried me from 100-200k fame to 25-26m fame in which I found a guild to help me

I still do use Demon Fang today but I am also maxing other weapons, If your interested then my build is

Demon Fang w/ Torch
Q2, W1 vs Melee and Pve, W4 vs Kiters, W2 for general use case, passive 4 for pvp, passive 2 for pve

Mage Cowl or Purity Cowl
D3 – Main source of Damage, passive 1

Mercenary Jacket
R3 – Recovery, W3 plus 2x E is enough of a burst heal
Passive 3

Any Sandals(I prefer Scholar since F3 is unpurgable)
F2 for energy, passive 1

Regular cape if need budget, Martlock cape for cheap ver of undead, Carleon Cape for faster dps but faster energy drain

Arcane staff is very underrated, i have been soled a battle axe with 200 ip above than me in avalon roads, when he used merc jacket and i immediately hit him with arcane orb and his hp didnt raised he tried too use speed boost to end battle fast has possible but i was using heregic cape, so he got trapped and died, i still cant believe it

I am a bloodletter man because of it’s versatility and great for escaping from the heat most of the time

spear🤣🤣is meh but is my spirit weapon

It would be great to have a video explaining stuff like engaging in a combat for new players as well as giving good and bad examples of basic movement within a fight. I f.e. often miss the timing on when to start gaining distance as a ranged, when to use boots movement etc.. idk if other beginners encounter similar difficulties.. just throwing that in as an idea 🙂

This coming season I’m lvling a alt so I can turn a placeholder ho into a hq and need season points to qualify. I’ll use these new guide series as a tester and let you know my result. Should be fun as all is complete trash 😂
